The sun is finally out and Amnesty’s birthday is coming up – we’ll be celebrating with a big tea party! We’re hoping you’ll join us by hosting an AMNESTEA on or around Friday 28 May. To get started, order our free tea party kit with posters, invite ideas and more.
The beauty of this fundraiser is that everyone loves a cuppa and cake! Tea parties are also a great way to introduce friends and colleagues to human rights. Ask guests to show solidarity by sending a card to the family of Ebrima Manneh, a “disappeared” Gambian journalist.
In the last few months, Amnesty supporters have held over 100 tea parties in workplaces, homes and schools across the country. It’s been great to hear about all the fun but we reckon there’s always room for more tea and solidarity!
