Using New Media To Promote The Work Of Amnesty International

One of the best uses of new media to promote the work of Amnesty International in the UK is the Central Birmingham Amnesty International Group. They have a thriving blog, popular facebook group and well-followed Twitter feed. And they aren’t just using these to promote e-activism they are using them to support the real-life group’s activities. The result a more dynamic and thriving group. I would certainly not say these ideas will work equally well for all groups. However, if you have people who are interested in trying these ideas out it seems they are worth trying out. For more information see

Regional Conference

The date for the West Midlands Amnesty International Regional conference has been set as Saturday 10th October and will be in Birmingham. Watch this blog for further details.

This is a new blog for Amnesty International groups in the West Midlands. It will be where we can advertise our activities and interact with each other. As Regional Rep I will post all Amnesty International activities on here that people outside your local group may be interested in. Over time I hope that activists will make their own postings too.
