One of the best uses of new media to promote the work of Amnesty International in the UK is the Central Birmingham Amnesty International Group. They have a thriving blog, popular facebook group and well-followed Twitter feed. And they aren’t just using these to promote e-activism they are using them to support the real-life group’s activities. The result a more dynamic and thriving group. I would certainly not say these ideas will work equally well for all groups. However, if you have people who are interested in trying these ideas out it seems they are worth trying out.
